Ferrer Therapeutics, Inc. is the US subsidiary of Ferrer Grupo, an international pharmaceutical group that works in the fields of prescription, diagnosis, hospitals and personal healthcare. Ferrer Grupo operates throughout the pharmaceutical value chain, with activities ranging from the research and development of new drugs to the industrial production and marketing of new products, while always maintaining a strong commitment both to society and to the environment. Currently, Ferrer Grupo has around 2,000 employees, of which over 200 work in R&D.

Global Presence
Since being founded as Laboratorios Ferrer, S.L. in 1959, Ferrer Grupo has steadily increased its global activity, both in terms of business areas and of geographical reach. Today, the company has a presence in over 80 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, with 32 subsidiaries and 55 partners and distributors. The company’s knowhow and experience, as well as its mission and values, have allowed Ferrer Grupo to cross cultural barriers and master the specifics of each market and its particular needs.

R&D
Ferrer Grupo has a clear and fundamental commitment to research and to developing new products in its key therapeutic areas. With research centers located across Europe, Ferrer Grupo has the capacity to carry out all phases of pharmaceutical as well as chemical R&D, from the identification of new leads to industrial scaling up and international clinical drug development.

Ferrer Grupo’s R&D portfolio includes projects to develop new molecules for CNS and cardiovascular diseases, as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious agents. In addition, a number of biotechnology projects have been initiated, aimed at identifying markers for prognosis, diagnosis and providing therapeutic targets in oncology, cardiovascular diseases, gastroenterology and metabolic disorders.  Many of these projects go forward in collaboration with prestigious public and private research institutions. Thanks to this long-term commitment - to which Ferrer Grupo annually invests 14% of its turnover - the company currently has over 1,000 patents registered worldwide.
 
Industrial Activity

Ferrer Grupo’s manufacturing sites around the world have the capacity to produce both raw materials (active pharmaceutical ingredients, food ingredients, plant extracts and dietary ingredients) and finished products. They have a capacity of over 2,000 million doses per year in solid, semi-solid, liquid and sterile pharmaceutical dosage forms, for oral intake, topical application or injection.

Ferrer Grupo has a wide portfolio of products ranging from pharmaceutical dermocosmetics and consumer healthcare to molecular diagnosis, as well as conventional prescription therapies.
 
Ferrer Grupo’s strategic therapeutic areas are: CNS, cardiology, gastroenterology and dermatology, plus a strong presence in the hospital environment, particularly in the fields of oncology, pain management, critical care (cardiovascular and respiratory) and hemotherapy.
